Here we are, June 2, 2018, and the New York Times has written that for months, President Trump's lawyer have been waging a campaign to keep Special Counsel Robert Mueller from calling the President to testify about his alleged obstruction of justice charge.
The argument is breathtaking, if for mothing else but its audacity! The argument runs that the president is "The Law," so, therefore, the President cannot break "The Law."
That is precisely why the whole concept of "Policy by Tweet, or "the seat of the pants," or by "whatever makes you talk" is , by its nature, flawed. We seem to have a president who refuses to say he is the "Enforcer" of the laws, but rather, one who says, "I AM the Law."
Ah! The Stalin Approach! But of course, the precursor to Putin, naturally. So that explains his affinity for the "Law Is Me" argument. So that makes him, naturally, not above the law, because he IS the law! Silly ME!!! His love of the satrap - and Putin - is explained!
I'm really tired of this. The time has come to crack down. We must stop this madness. We are imposing tariffs on allies who will hurt us greatly in retaliation as we spiral into another Depression with our selfish "We Are Better Than You" mentalities! Seriously, have we learned NOTHING in the past century?
This is really "Sad!"
